The New Year brings exciting times for ice skating.
The 2016 US National Champs and European Champs will be crowned in January. You can join the action via TV or IceNetwork. Learn to Skate programs are in full swing at many Nebraska ice arenas. Find some classes near you! You can even skate for a good cause by registering for the 2016 Parkinson’s Skate-A-Thon and follow the fun on the Skate-A-Thon Facebook page.
February brings two popular local Omaha events. A Winter Carnival full of skating fun, food, games and prizes and the Omaha Winter Festival, Omaha’s largest annual local figure skating competition. Free to spectators, the Winter Festival Competition provides an opportunity to see skaters of all ages (tots to adult) compete in various events.
