UNMC and the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Omaha will present Freezin’ for a Reason on Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the UNMC Ice Rink located in the Ruth and Bill Scott Student Plaza, just east of 42nd Street between Emile Street and Dewey Avenue.
Skate to Fill a Plate is a benefit for the Food Bank for the Heartland. Skaters, their families, friends and the community are invited to enjoy an evening of skating. Organized by UNMC, the event will feature exhibitions by local figure skaters. Athletes in training and seasoned coaches are invited to perform. Afterward, lace up some skates and take to the ice.
